Hi Gurus,
I got You 2 A# number. one is from I-140 and other is from I-485 which i filled on July 2007.
Is it any problem to get 2 A#? if yes then what should be plan of action?
If No then which one is active A# number.

The fee is for processing your application, which they did. So there is no provision for a refund.

yes EB3 India. I think when I look back, its just a matter of luck. Once it was RFE, second time I got a second finger printing and third time they just did'nt pick it up. But USCIS has been very promptful in approving my EADs and AP. I could be very well one of the oldest processing case sitting in the TSC shelf.

Hi,
Our 485 is pending for quite some time with no updates even though we recently went for our FP. Earlier we used to see an update when we log into our account on USCIS.
I would like to meet with Congressman/Senator to find my case status and give it a push. My objective is to get an exact status of my case and why its delayed and also to find the name check status.
Could anyone please suggest how to go about this i have never met with lawmakers before. How should i book an appointment and what should i say it is for? What information they would need from me to pursue my request?
Btw i live in Northern Virginia .. who should i visit ?
Would i be meeting with lawmaker or only with their staff?
Do i have to take the USCIS and FBI contact info for them to call? Mine is pending in NSC.
Appreciate any guidance in this regard from people who has gone thru this path before. I hope contacting Congressman wouldn't have a negative effect on my case.

.. I think passport validity of six months used to be OK for Visa Stamping. Check this one. Preferably it is better to get new passport - people are getting some times stuck for months in PIMS.

I'm moving from MI to TX and need to do something address. Does premium mail forwarding service works for USCIS notices? I know regular mail forwarding doesn't work and they'll be returned to INS. Please let me know if premium service works or not.

I called TSC, mine and my wife's application is pending secrutiy clearance.

Its been real fast. Yesterday I received my Approval letter, today I received my Card in mail.
Application was approved on 13 may after opening SR on 6th may. So canceling INFOPASS... :)

That has happened to me too. It's ok. I looked at the reciept notice and the date is the original reciept date not the one mentioned in update. Don't worry. If you are really concerned call your lawyer.

USA which is a so called developed country, takes 6 months to issue a passport due to the fact that USCIS is over...........loaded with work. So Flashing story is an old one and will only fit in Hollywood world.
The US Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs issues a US passport to eligible citizens. Applying for passport and issuance is not a USCIS affair and hence is a lot faster i would say a month or less at most ! Had it been a USCIS affair.... most americans will still be tracking their passport case status online ! :)

Hmmm you may be right.....
Well then I'd have to inform them....But still the attorney always gets a copy of an RFE right since I had it through the company attorney....
As far as getting GC is concerned I am still far from that stage.....so there is no chance of missing that....I am not counting on it....
But since I have signed that G28 form ....attorney always gets a copy of the correspondence from USCIS....
All this is to avoid getting an RFE (for extraneous reason like address change) while I am unemployed ...
